  readers will never have heard of most of these cases, primarily because such have never been cited by liberal authors, whose works are intended to glorify the jehovah's witness court cases of the 1920s-1970s.

  HERE'S A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE 144,000 DOCTRINE......

  just when you think you've heard it all............in my research for my project, i was doing some digging around on the subject of the 144,000 and came across something in the wts's literature that absolutely stunned me and, being the generous soul that i am , wanted to pass it on to you to get your thoughts on this.. .

  we all know that the society teaches that the 144,000 mentioned in revelation is speaking of "spiritual israel" and not 'fleshly israel' or even other christians in general right?

  there are countless quotes throughout the literature that we are all familiar with that specifically state this, but to drive home a point, here are a few:.

  It's a great find if only it mattered. The dub will reconcile with the WTS on the issue because of the fact it's so complicated. Easier to let them do the "deep" thinking.

  I don't view her as a spineless wimp for trying to stand by her husband as long as she can. That whole vow thing says "till death do us part". Rather or not pedophiles will change or not has no bearing in hoping they might change or standing by your spouse for support. Again I point out it would have been much easier for her just to leave him, then stand by him.

  Barbara Roya said she let Leonard Roya back in the house because she thought she didn't know the whole story, they had been married 18 years, she had to think of her sons, and she thought he could be treated and become a good father.(emphasis mine)(in other words, she's a spineless wimp who would rather take the path of least resistance and continue to live with a pedophile, rather than do the moralistic thing and kick his ass to the curb)

  Wow it must be nice sitting in that glass ceiling so high above everyone. So let me get this straight she is married to someone for 18 years. A claim (and yes at that point in time it was a claim) that this man did this, she naturally assumed that there was more to the story. She then like almost 99% of the human population in love wanted to try to help him change. I think it takes a lot of spine to forgive someone and want to help them.

  Me and you never see eye to eye on this stuff, so I don't know why I'm trying to argue this.

  Hey Jamie, basically what this is saying is that conflict of interest isn't just in the case of a lawyer going against who he/she is representing. There can also be conflict when the lawyer gives over optimistic views or encourages the defendant in doing something that may not be in the best interest or could be illegal. In this case a ruling already stated that the defendant was vulnerable to falsified information given to her by her mother and others. The judge was going on a affidavit giving by I believe her mothers lawyer interviewing the daughter to prove she was not misinformed yet since this lawyer was a JW it wouldn't be unreasonable to think she could be misinformed. Because a judge already declared she was misinformed to begin with it stands to reason that the judge should find that there was indeed a conflict of interest. That is what I got out of it anyways.

  If someone argues and wins that JW lawyers represent a conflict of interest which in this case it was an affidavit that the lawyer gave which it was subject to the lawyers opinions which clearly would have been influenced by his JW belief then this could usher in major changes for the blood doctrine. Once the dubs start loosing these cases then it's game over. **edited to add that adults should have the choice to not take blood if they choose**

  at the conventions, there always seem to be parents gushing about how their kids are 'in the truth', pioneering, etc.

  i'm wondering how many jw kids just flat-out reject all the jw b/s right from the start.

  surely there are some kids who just say 'no way!

  I never bought in to it. I kind of tried there for a hot minute but failed on the baptism questions. After that I was pretty happy because I was only doing it to appease a few people. My oldest brother left and currently only other brother (older) is still in, though he is only in for social reasons IMO. I think that the numbers are probably 1 out of ever 2 leave. That is how it shook out in our hall.

  hey............long time not posting........but the long timers will remember me............(hey simon).

  i just had a horrible experience with an instructor of mine..........crossed the line............he grabbed my chest in school yesterday.. .

  i have already let the head of the department know what happened and is 100% behind me on whatever i choose to do about it.. here is the thing................the instructor that grabbed me is a pastor in the catholic church............he recognized me from the net......from doing research on sex abuse in other religions.. anyone who knows who i am is very familiar with the fact i don't hide who i am at all.
